The Venue: The Churchill Arms in Kensington could just about be the coolest pub in London. In summertime it is covered by an abundance of flowers in bloom and in winter the lights show you the way forward from at least a block away.
The pub’s ceilings and walls are covered from head to toe in anything and everything you can imagine – all bar the kitchen sink! Pots, pans, planes, trains and memorabilia from years gone by cover the walls.
Atmosphere- Constantly buzzing no matter what time of day you head there, this lively hot spot is filled with a constant swirl of chatter, bouts of laugher and the cling, clang, clanging of glasses. Every time I have been there the pub and restaurant have both been full to the brim, but regardless, we have always found a table!
Food: The Thai Restaurant attached to the pub is like the even prettier sister than the extremely pretty sister you have just met. It is good, cheap Thai, in record time. It may not be the best Thai in town, but with the atmosphere and venue combined, altogether it’s a pretty satisfying combo. The average price for a main is £7!
Drink: You can get a varied selection of both wine and beer at the bar.
Our 2 Pence: If you are looking for fine dining and fancy service then book in somewhere else. If you want to get amongst it, sip on a cold beer and enjoy some good thai whilst having a laugh, then head to The Churchill Arms. Oh, and always book – otherwise you’ll be waiting hours for a table (or won’t get one at all)
